James Meyers is Managing Partner and CEO of Cinema Entertainment Group (CEG), an entertainment media company. As CEO, James is responsible for setting corporate strategy, forging new alliances within the entertainment and investment communities, and leading overall operations of new ventures. CEG's first venture is the launch of a new interactive digital television channel. Other CEG ventures include domestic and international film and TV distribution companies.

James is a 20-year veteran of international broadcast and telecommunication industries, having launched and operated pay-television businesses globally. Before launching CEG, James was President and United States Resident Officer at DIRECTV International. James was responsible for overseeing all aspects of international investment and development for satellite-based, digital pay television and informational services in Japan and 25 Latin American countries. In addition, he managed expansion efforts in Greater China, Western and Eastern Europe. As Senior Vice President of Programming and Business Development for DIRECTV Japan, he was responsible for launching DIRECTV Japan in the record time of less than one year. He negotiated all partnership deals on behalf of DIRECTV Japan, as well as implemented the company marketing and operations plans. As Vice President of Broadband New Ventures, James was responsible for all aspects of broadband service investments and development for DIRECTV Inc., the US's leading digital television provider.

Throughout his tenure with DIRECTV, James held many product and service development positions. As an executive member of the original DIRECTV team, he led service concept development, system development and worked with regulators to create the first digital broadcast TV standard. In addition to his expertise in pay television, James also played a critical role in developing the fledgling global satellite-based telephone services for Hughes Communications, Inc. Early in his career, he held many business and technical positions with Hughes Space and Satellite Co. and Motorola, Inc.

James obtained an EBA from the University of Southern California and Corporate Board Certification from UCLA. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
